American actor and stand-up comedian Billy Gardell drastically changed his lifestyle a few years ago, and the results certainly haven’t stopped.
Gardell made the park famous on the Mike & Molly series from 2010 to 2016, and since then has starred in various other shows and had minor roles in movies.
Billy recently had an interview with Entertainment Tonight where he reviewed his success over the past few years. He has now lost nearly 70 pounds and is now free of type 2 diabetes, which he had been battling for some time. He says he usually weighs between 93 and 96 kilos today after weighing around 160 kilos at his peak.
“I think you have to find peace with yourself and at some point look in the mirror and say, ‘Now is the time to do something.’
Billy, who is 53, had bypass surgery two years ago and says he feels better about himself, both physically and mentally. The biggest change, however, is being diabetes free.
“No more diabetes and my resting heart rate went from 113 beats per minute to 68,” he says. He says he is eating much smaller meals than before and is much healthier.
“It’s extremely important to take good care of yourself,” says Billy, who has yet to kick the bad habit of smoking. “I’m working on it,” says the psychic actor.
