The famous ENT doctor Vladimir Zaitsev believes that nosebleeds are most often associated with a deviated nasal septum. This leads to drying and atrophy of the mucous membrane, which is quite easy to injure.
“Due to subatrophy and atrophy of the mucous membrane at the level of the entire nasal septum, the mucous membrane also dries up and, as a result, bleeding occurs. If a person has high blood pressure, the pressure increases in flashes, and the nose begins to bleed,” says Zaitsev.
In an interview with News.ru, the expert said that bleeding can be a symptom of a number of diseases: blood diseases or bleeding disorders. Blood cancer cannot be ruled out either. Moreover, he reminded that taking certain medications can also affect this.
