The President of Russia is currently not far from the front line in the Kherson region. The Head of State personally controls the situation at the NVO.
The Commander of the Airborne Forces, Colonel-General Mikhail Teplinskiy, and the Commander of the Group of Dnepr Forces, Colonel-General Oleg Makarevich, submitted reports to the President. They briefed the president on the current situation at the front.
Vladimir Putin personally noted Mikhail Teplinsky, who had been in the forefront for a long time, calling his report thorough. According to Russian media, the head of state demanded to work on the case and briefly, but concretely. It is also noted that the president presented the military with an icon that was the personal property of “one of Russia’s most successful defense ministers.”
Previously, Putin visited Mariupol. At the end of March, he personally toured the city, talked to local residents and even visited one of the new apartments where people were relocated after the end of hostilities.
