Russian pensioners were informed about the possibility of writing off monetary debts in a simplified way.
A similar initiative, expanding the possibilities for citizens to declare bankruptcy, was supported by the government. A simplified form without a trial is possible if the amount does not exceed one million rubles. In addition, retirees will be able to take advantage of the opportunity, reports <a target=”_blank” href=”https://rg.ru/2023/04/17/izbaviat-ot-kreditov.html?utm_source=yxnews&utm_medium=desktop” rel=”nofollow noopener”>Russian newspaper.
“First of all, socially unprotected categories of citizens will have the opportunity to get rid of their debts in a simplified way,” explained lawyer Vladimir Gruzdev, about the bill.
This means that if a Russian receives only one pension, he can file for bankruptcy without a trial. The corresponding request can be submitted to the MFC.
“At the same time, it is proposed to reduce the minimum amount of debt, according to which a citizen will have the right to initiate out-of-court bankruptcy proceedings, to 25,000 rubles,” the expert noted.
Today, the threshold amount, if it is impossible to pay, which a Russian can file for bankruptcy, is up to half a million rubles.
