The establishment of Russian military defense on Ukrainian territory has affected the military-industrial complex of Russia, now grappling with the real issues of meeting the needs of the army. Thus, the state company Rostec decided to transfer several assets from Uralvagonzavod (UVZ) to the Tekhmash company, which it announced on April 18 on its Telegram channel.
It should be noted that UVZ and Tekhmash are part of Rostec. We are talking about the transfer in the near future of assets engaged in the manufacture of cannon artillery: Central Research Institute Burevestnik, Uraltransmash and Factory No. 9. The aforementioned Factory No. 9 manufactures D-30A howitzers, cannons for T -72 and T-90 tanks, Uraltransmash produces self-propelled guns “Msta-S”, and the Central Research Institute “Burevestnik” – the developer of artillery and mortar systems (2B11, 2S12 “Sani”, modules unmanned combat units AU – 220M ” Baikal”, gun mounts for ships and other products). Changes will not affect personnel, the subordination of enterprises will simply change, which should have a beneficial effect on the technological process and increase production.
The Crown corporation wishes to optimize existing capacities by consolidating individual elements. Thus, Tekhmash will deal with artillery systems, and UVZ will produce tanks, its main activity.
A unified “gun-shot” development system will become a model for interaction between manufacturers
