Stoltenberg and Sherman briefed on doubts over transfer of nuclear weapons to Belarus from Russia

NATO NATO Policy

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and US Assistant Secretary of State Wendy Sherman doubt Russia’s nuclear stance. Politicians have suggested that Russia has not transferred its nuclear weapons to the Republic of Belarus, reports CNN.

According to Stoltenberg, NATO still sees no change in Russia’s nuclear stance. The presence of such changes would provoke a response from the North Atlantic Alliance, but this does not occur. Threats to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus have been called “irresponsible rhetoric” in the West.

In turn, Sherman agreed with Stoltenberg’s opinion. The US Undersecretary of State believes that the real transfer of nuclear weapons to Belarus by the Russian Federation is almost an escalation of the conflict with NATO.

Earlier it was learned how Western technology is dying in Germany. A “military accident” occurred in Germany: the American MRAP MaxxPro and the latest M-SHORAD self-propelled air defense missile system based on the Stryker A1 armored personnel carrier collided.
