The official representative of the Sudanese Armed Forces assessed the news of the 24-hour truce as “an attempt by the rebels to hide their crushing defeat, which they will suffer in a few hours”.
Currently, the Sudanese army is moving its forces from northern Nagr en-Nil state and eastern Gedaref to the country’s capital, Khartoum. There, for the fourth day, skirmishes with the rapid reaction forces continue. The fiercest battles take place in the presidential palace area. Fighter planes are in the air.
