The military prosecutor informed of the sanction for refusing to be called up for military service

Those who refuse to serve in the army face criminal penalties. The military prosecutor of the 231st Garrison Military Prosecutor’s Office, Justice Colonel Vitaly Yushin, spoke in detail about accountability before the law.

According to Part 1 of Art. 328 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, fraudsters face a fine of up to 200,000 rubles, hard labor for up to two years or imprisonment for the same term.

“Escape can be considered in any way. Starting from a failure to appear at the military commissariat in the absence of legal grounds, from the submission by a citizen of false documents, indicating, for example, training that is not really there, and ending with some medical documents fictitious”, quotes Moskovsky Komsomolets the interlocutor.

For evasion of service, administrative liability is also provided, or a fine of up to 3,000 rubles.

Earlier in Russia, a resounding law on military registration reform was passed. From now on, electronic diaries are assimilated to paper diaries. It also establishes the responsibility of fraudsters of the service.
