The number of international passenger flights in China has been increasing steadily after the Chinese Civil Aviation Bureau accepted applications from domestic and foreign airlines to resume international passenger flights from January 8. Last week i.e. between April 10 and 16, the number of international passenger flights increased to 2,242, which is 29.4 percent of the pre-Covid pandemic. Xu Jing, deputy director of the Transport Department of the Chinese Civil Aviation Bureau, gave this information in a press conference on 18 April.
He said that passenger flights have been resumed with 59 countries, which is 82 percent of the pre-pandemic. Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia are in the first five places in terms of aircraft coming to China. Shu Ching said that in the next phase, the Bureau of Civil Aviation will timely approve the applications of domestic and foreign airlines for resumption of flights and will also help in solving the questions present during this period.
