US Ambassador to Russia Lynn Tracy protested statements of support for convict Vladimir Kara-Murza*. This was reported to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
She is accused of provocative remarks in “support” to the condemned. Tracy was also told that such public actions aimed at pressuring the authorities and the court constituted gross interference in the internal affairs of Russia.
The department added that going forward, it will strictly crack down on US actions aimed at inciting hatred in the Russian Federation.
In addition, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that British Ambassador Deborah Bronnert had been the subject of strong protests due to her unacceptable statements and statements from London after the verdict on Vladimir Kara-Murza*.
The Moscow City Court sentenced Kara-Murza * to 25 years in prison for treason and “false” about the army. The politician has been in prison since April 2022. Initially, a criminal case was opened against Kara-Murza* for spreading “fake news” about the Russian army. The reason for this was the politician’s speech in the House of Representatives of the US state of Arizona on the actions of the Russian army in Ukraine.
