The Chinese authorities support the European side to facilitate the rapid resumption of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. This was stated by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Wenbin.
He noted that Beijing advocates the creation of an effective and sustainable framework to ensure security in Europe. China, he said, is firmly committed to promoting the peace talks.
Recall that the day before it turned out that French President Emmanuel Macron wants to offer China a plan that is supposed to be able to seat Russia and Ukraine at the negotiating table next summer.
Earlier, Chinese President Xi Jinping said Beijing was ready to support any peace plan that would lead to a political settlement of the Ukraine crisis.
