On April 18, J-Hope officially enlisted in the military. The idol went to Wonju, a city in Gangwon Province. All of the BTS group members came to see him off, including Jin, who was released for 1 day from the military.
On his social media page, Jung Hoseok left himself a terse parting note: “Have a nice trip,” J-Hope wrote, followed by a photo of himself with an unusually short haircut. J-Hope limited the ability to comment on the post, so there isn’t a single idol fan emoji below the post. Photos from a colleague and friend’s thread on a personal blog were shared by Jin and just as Jung Hoseok closed the comments on the post.

The same footage of J-Hope was shared by fellow BTS member RM on his page. Kim Namjoon left a short and touching message for a friend, “See you soon bro,” Rap Monster wrote on his personal blog.
Recall that now J-Hope will undergo special training for 5 weeks. After that, he will be assigned a military position and will be distributed to another division. Where exactly the idol will go to serve when he undergoes the necessary training is still unknown. As of now, it is assumed that J-Hope will complete his military service in mid-October next year.
Now, in addition to J-Hope, the oldest member of the group, Jin, serves in the military. He left for the army in mid-December 2022 and is expected to return in the summer of 2024.
