During the past day, firefighters intervened five times to eliminate “garbage” fires on the territory of the Kaliningrad region. Three more times, rescuers went to the scene of dry grass fires.
So, on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, the fire and rescue units of the Russian Emergencies Ministry were mobilized five times to eliminate the incineration of household waste. Firefighters PSCH-11, PSCH-3 and SPSCH, consisting of 24 people and five pieces of equipment, took part in the extinction. There were no casualties. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the Kaliningrad region.
In addition, the fire and rescue units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, consisting of thirty people and three equipment, were involved three times to eliminate the dry grass burns.
Earlier, the MP for Kaliningrad announced that a solemn event in honor of Russian Fire Protection Day will be held in the center of Kaliningrad. The party will take place on Saturday April 29 on the Place de la Victoire.
