The head of the Russian Ministry of Education, Valery Falkov, announced that the list of basic specialized higher education programs will be changed in the near future.
Under the new system, the higher education qualification will indicate the number of years a student has studied in a particular specialty, since “we have such flexibility in terms of terms with basic higher education, it would be logic to indicate how much a graduate of a particular program studied”.
The ministry proposes to assign licenses and specialization diplomas to the specialized magistrature, to boarding school, to assistantship-internship. Post-graduate (supplementary) education (post-graduate, supplement) will be a separate level, according to the documents of the meeting.
According to Falkov, those who have studied at least five years at the basic level of higher education, as well as those who have completed a special higher education program, will be eligible for admission to higher education.
