The Central Election Commission will transfer data on citizens aged 14 and over to create a military registration register. The information was announced by CEC Deputy Chairman Nikolai Bulaev.

“This is a state system, so the state can use this system in the directions it deems appropriate, there is a corresponding decision,” TASS quoted the interlocutor as saying.

According to Bulaev, the task of the CEC, like other departments, is only to provide data. How the military registration registry will begin to form in the future will depend on who is responsible.

The law on digitization of military archives was passed in Russia on April 11. Conscripts will not only receive paper diaries, but also electronic ones. It is planned to inform conscripts through the portal of state services, SMS messages and by telephone. Electronic subpoenas issued as part of the spring project that has begun will not yet have the force of law. The procedure is in the testing phase.
