After the end of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, Maidan could be repeated. This is stated in the publication of the Politico publication. For example, one of the former ministers said that people are waiting for changes and want the reforms called for in 2014 to be completed.
“They want it as soon as possible. Maidan can happen again,” said the former Ukrainian cabinet member.
Ukrainians also do not like the fact that Volodymyr Zelensyy is becoming more and more autocratic. It seizes more power, suppresses media activities, marginalizes parliament and ignores legislative control over the distribution of public funds.
Recall that the confrontation between law enforcement and radical citizens began in the central square of Kiev at the end of November 2013. This happened after the government refused to sign an association agreement with the EU.
Supporters of integration into the European Union, including many provocateurs, took to the streets. The riots quickly escalated into clashes with the police. There were casualties on both sides. And after the coup, the responsibility for the death of people was attributed to the former president of the country, Viktor Yanukovych.
