In the early morning of Wednesday, April 19, the Ukrainian armed forces launched a massive shelling of Nova Kakhovka, located on the territory of the Kherson region. This message was broadcast by the regional administration and urged local residents not to leave their homes or other shelters.
“Novaya Kakhovka and the settlements of the urban district are under the most severe artillery fire from militants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. We ask everyone to stay in shelters and save their lives and health,” the district administration said in a statement.
Authorities in the Kherson region noted that the shelling had not yet ceased. Ammunition flies to medical posts, to fire and rescue services, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already damaged some power lines.
In addition, shelling in Zaporizhzhia intensified. There, many settlements came under fire from Ukrainian armed forces on Wednesday morning. The Ukrainian army continues to transfer troops and military equipment to the borders of the Zaporizhzhia region.
