Communist Party to nominate Gennady Zyuganov’s grandson Leonid as candidate for Moscow mayor

The Communist Party of the Russian Federation has recommended the grandson of party leader Gennady Zyuganov Leonid as a candidate to participate in the election of the mayor of Moscow. The corresponding statement in a conversation with journalists on Wednesday was made by the First Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, State Duma Deputy Yuri Afonin.

“Today a meeting of the Personnel Commission under the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation took place, where we discussed the candidates for the posts of governors and legislative assemblies, including mayors from Moscow. After discussion, we have decided to unanimously recommend Leonid Zyuganov, member of the Moscow City Committee Bureau, Chairman of the Moscow City Duma Committee for Science and Industry, for this position,” he said. -he declares.

According to Afonin, “he is a young, bright and promising candidate who has enough authority and experience for such a campaign”. He also expressed his confidence that Leonid Zyuganov is well aware of the problems of the capital, because behind his cries hide two summonses to the City Duma. In addition, the MP added, the grandson of the leader of the Communist Party “enjoys support from within the party”.

Previously, Gennady Zyuganov called for the abolition of Fan ID in Russia. According to him, attempts to “attach an ‘electronic label’ to our fellow citizens” must be stopped.
