Kathmandu. Nepal’s President Ramchandra Paudel will reach Delhi-based All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Wednesday for treatment. The media advisor to the President gave this information. President Paudel (78) was admitted to a hospital here (TU Teaching Hospital) on Tuesday for the second time within a month after complaining of shortness of breath.
The Kathmandu Post quoted President’s Media Advisor Kiron Pokharel as saying that Paudel will undergo treatment at AIIMS in New Delhi. According to the news, Paudel will be flown to India on Wednesday morning via air ambulance.
On Tuesday, other leaders including Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka had inquired about Paudel’s health. Last week, President Paudel complained of stomach pain.
