Acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin said fierce battles were taking place in the western districts of Artyomovsk, but fighters from the private military company Wagner were advancing.
“Fierce battles continue there, but Wagner’s PMC continues to advance, day and night,” he told RIA Novosti.
The day before it became known that the Russian fighters managed to break through the O-0506 highway, which connects Artyomovsk with the village of Chasov Yar.
It was also reported that troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the retreat from the village of Tsvetmet in Artyomovsk blew up four nine-story houses, in the basements of which there were at least 20 civilians, including children.
