New Delhi. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will visit Guyana, Panama, Colombia, Dominican Republic on Friday for a nine-day tour where he will discuss new dimensions of bilateral cooperation with these countries.As External Affairs Minister, these Latin American and Caribbean countries This will be Jaishankar’s first visit.
According to a statement by the Ministry of External Affairs, Jaishankar will first visit Guyana where he will hold wide-ranging discussions with his counterpart Hugh Hilton Todd on a wide range of topics, including detailing the entire gamut of relations between the two countries. During the visit till April, Jaishankar will meet the leadership there and will also hold discussions with several ministers.
According to the statement, Jaishankar will be visiting Panama from April 24-25 and Colombia from April 25-27. The External Affairs Minister will be visiting the Dominican Republic from April 27-29. “His (Jaishankar’s) visit is aimed at enhancing high-level contacts with Latin American and Caribbean countries and with these countries in the post-pandemic scenario,” the Ministry of External Affairs said. It will provide an opportunity to explore avenues of cooperation in new areas.
