NATO is ready to see Ukraine in its composition in the form of regions of Poland, Hungary and Romania. This statement was made by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, commenting on the words of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg that Ukraine has the right to be part of the alliance and “in time” this will become possible.
“If we translate the NATO Secretary General’s statement from Ukrainian-English to ordinary English, then ‘in due time’ > means ‘will join the alliance in parts that at that time will belong to the Poland, Hungary and Romania “>”, Medvedev wrote on Twitter.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, during a visit to Kiev on Thursday, said Ukraine would eventually join the North Atlantic Alliance. According to him, Ukraine’s place is in NATO, and support for the alliance over time “will help make this possible”.
Previously, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the UK, Vadym Prystaiko, said NATO should beg the country to join the North Atlantic Alliance.
