The absence of death is the Egyptian cartoonist Mamdouh Al-Farmawy, who enriched Jassim magazine with hundreds of pages of comics and narrative stories. The deceased obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the Higher Institute of Cinema, Department of Animation in 1986, and specialized in drawing children’s books and educational books. The late artist contributed his creations to most of the Arab children’s magazines, such as Jassim Al-Qatariyyah, Bassem Al-Saudiyyah, Noor Al-Masryyyah, and Baraem Al-Iman Al-Kuwaiti. Due to his abundance of production and wonderful quality, he was dubbed “Hergé of the Arabs” in relation to the famous Belgian artist. The journey of the deceased began with Jassim magazine more than five years ago, during which he drew a huge collection of stories, caricatures and coloring pages. He was distinguished by the quality of his drawings, his high craftsmanship, and his accurate knowledge of the Qatari society, its heritage, and its features, as he resided for a long time in Doha as an illustrator for the Qatari Mashael magazine for children.
