The President of Belarus is satisfied with the scale of cooperation with St. Petersburg News

According to him, a similar trend is continuing this year as well. Already in two months, according to statistics, an increase of 1.4 times was recorded, and in the export of Belarusian products – 1.7 times.

Particular emphasis during the meeting, the Head of State informs BELTA , poured into the formation of logistics via St. Petersburg and Murmansk. The partners are notably implementing a project to develop container traffic via the port of Bronka. Its total capacity in the future is expected to reach more than 20 million tons of cargo per year. Specialists are also preparing projects for the modernization of the railways leading to the port.

And in August 2022, he held a meeting on the establishment of port facilities, which discussed the construction time, return on investment and possible risks. “It is necessary to build a port quickly and inexpensively,” Lukashenka said, the priority task for industry leaders.

According to him, Belarus has a good chance of creating its own port infrastructure. “The Russian Federation has opened doors for us at all levels. At least there are no obstacles from the side of the President of Russia, with whom I negotiated on these issues, outstanding support,” summed up the Belarusian leader.
