What is the ruling for one who missed the Eid al-Fitr prayer?.. The Awqaf answers

Muslims in all countries of the world are looking forward to announcing the date of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr 1444 AH, after the meeting of the committees and bodies responsible for investigating the crescent in various countries of the world tomorrow, Thursday, corresponding to the 29th of the blessed Ramadan.

Eid al-Fitr prayers will be held in Qatar at exactly 5.21 am, according to the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, through its Twitter account, today, Wednesday, in 590 mosques and chapels in various regions of the country.

In response to a question about the legal ruling on those who are unable to perform the Eid al-Fitr prayer?, The Ministry of Awqaf says in a previous fatwa that "The time for the Eid prayer starts from sunrise and ends at noon, so whoever misses the Eid prayer with the imam, he should perform it at this time, but if its time has passed, is it prescribed to make up for it? There is disagreement".

She adds: An-Nawawi said: "the total": A branch in the doctrines of scholars if the Eid prayer is missed: We have mentioned that the correct view of our doctrine is that it is desirable to make it up forever, and Ibn Al-Mundhir narrated it on the authority of Malik and Abu Thawr, and Al-Abdari narrated the opinion of Malik, Abi Hanifa, Al-Mundhiri and Dawood that it is not made up, and Abu Yusuf and Muhammad said: It is made up on the second day , and Al-Adha on the second and third, and the companions of Abu Hanifa said: His doctrine is the same as theirs, and if whoever missed it prays it with the imam at its time or after it, he prays it with two rak’ahs like the imam’s prayer… End. God knows.
