Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said NATO is expected to accept the country into the alliance in July this year. According to him, this is evidenced by the visit of the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, reports Reuters,
The Ukrainian leader told a joint press conference in Kiev with NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg that the NATO summit in Vilnius in July could be “historic” and that he was invited to attend.
According to him, for the moment nothing prevents Ukraine from joining NATO.
On the eve of the Russian President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that one of the goals of the special military operation is to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO.
