Air India has taken steps to reduce the use of plastic.

New Delhi. Airline company ‘Air India’ has reduced the use of single-use plastic by 80 per cent across all flights across its network across the world. Air India issued a statement giving this information.

Pack cutlery in paper instead of plastic bags on flights, replace plastic straws with paper ones, use wooden sticks instead of plastic ones to stir drinks, and Providing reusable bags made of linen are some of the steps taken as part of the green efforts.

Air India said in a statement, “With the objective of continuously reducing the impact of the airline on the environment, led by a team of experts of the company and with the support of catering partners and several vendors, Air India’s privatization is being done.” Since then there has been a reduction (in the use of plastic).
