American instructors train the Ukrainian armed forces to use an analogue of the Russian “Snake Gorynych”

The U.S. Army has begun training Ukrainian military personnel in the use of the M58 Mine Clearing Line Charge towed remote mine clearance system. It is an analogue of the Russian UR-77 system, which in the military environment is called the “Gorynych Snake” or simply “chushka”.

Video footage of US military instructors giving lessons with servicemen of the Ukrainian army has been posted online. They show how Ukrainians learn to throw “pigs”.

The Russian UR-77 remote demining system is designed to clear minefields or destroy minefields. Its analogue M58 Mine Clearing Line Charge, which the Americans are about to put or have already put into service with the Ukrainian army.

Passages through minefields are usually made on the eve of an offensive, when a large number of personnel and military equipment must pass through a certain area of the terrain.

Thus, the published video footage can be considered another indirect evidence of the preparation of a major offensive by the Ukrainian army.

Experts suggest that the Ukrainian army will strike in several directions at once. Moreover, the main blow will be struck, most likely, in the Zaporizhzhia region. The rest will be solidary. At the same time, experts do not exclude the possibility that the Ukrainian armed forces will try to invade the Kursk, Belgorod or Bryansk regions of the Russian Federation.
