The rehabilitation of regional and inter-municipal roads has been started in the Tver region. According to the government, work is also underway under the national Safe High-Quality Roads project.
- In the Upper Volga region, over the past seven years, the volume of road works on regional and municipal highways has more than quadrupled. This year, repairs are planned to cover around 440 kilometers of regional and inter-municipal roads and 197 kilometers of the local network,” Igor Rudenya told a recent regional government meeting when discussing road campaign plans.
In total, this year, the list included 23 objects of social significance, 10 major infrastructure, 9 tourist objects and 7 investment objects, as well as three roads of the backbone network. Active work began in mid-April. At several sites, road workers are milling the existing asphalt concrete surfacing. For example, a section of the road “Tver – Bezhetsk – Vesyegonsk – Ustyuzhna” in front of Bezhetsk was completely subjected to such manipulation. In addition, grinding continues on the Sonkovo-Koy, Rzhev-Leontyevo, Vydropuzhsk-Spirovo roads. They trace a route along the AIPs. This month, an agreement was signed for the reconstruction of a 2.37 kilometer section of the Bezhetskoye highway. There will be four lanes of traffic. An agreement has also been reached on the construction of an access road to the Orion factory, and the installation of communications continues in Borovlevo.
