Residents of Penza prepare to spend the weekend with benefits for mind and body

The weather this weekend will be capricious, Saturday we promise light rain and only 13 degrees of heat, and Sunday it’s sunny and +19°C. We have compiled a list of places and events that can be visited whatever the weather.

The long-awaited news is that the fountain on Moskovskaya Street, which adults and children love so much, has started to work. Wide swings, a playground for young citizens and, of course, the fountain itself will cheer you up even in bad weather.

Tomorrow, April 22, is the last day you can ring the bells of the Spassky Cathedral yourself. After the morning service at 9.30 a.m., a group of no more than 10 people is recruited near the entrance to the large bell tower. However, if the weather is bad, there will be no climb to the bell tower.

During the weekend, the festival “Russian Diaspora: Cities and Faces” will operate.

Events within the framework of the festival will last for three days – from April 21 to 23.

April 22:

• walking tour “In Penza the whole history of Russia”,

• lecture “Native of the land of Penza AA Arkhangelsk

and traditions of choral singing of the Russian diaspora”,

• Show “…A plague on your two houses!”,

April 23:

• “Men’s Day” show

• lecture “”Bonfire”: Adventures of the pre-revolutionary movie star Ivan Mozzhukhin abroad”,

• vocal music concert for the anniversary of composers N. Cherepnin and S. Rachmaninoff,

On April 22 at 3:00 p.m., the Regional Drama Theater in Penza will host a dinner with the actors before watching the play “The plague on your two houses”. Participants will meet the main characters of the stage and discuss the most interesting moments of the performance, enjoy the live voices and taste the dishes of the restaurant’s brand chef.
