The case against Alexei Moskalev, sentenced to two years for discrediting the Russian army, must be quashed and his daughter, who drew an anti-war drawing in an art lesson, must be returned to her father. This opinion was expressed in the program “What was it?!” leader of the party “Fair Russia – Patriots – For the truth!” Sergei Mironov. According to him, those who initiated this affair and triggered it harmed the whole country and could have done it deliberately.
“My personal view, then, in a simple way, is complete nonsense. This is a huge giveaway for anti-Russian propaganda. That’s who did it, well, you know, I said – dope – it looks like there’s no dope here. You really have to look closely at who is doing this. They are, in fact, the enemies of Russia,” he said. Mironov called the current situation “nonsense”. In his opinion, all this gives the impression that someone has invented something for which “Russia would be expelled out of the blue”.
“I believe that first of all this should be overturned, and the sentence, and the girl should be returned to her father, and that’s it. But who did this, I think, we have to understand, and not because of stupidity, but I’m afraid it’s just real sabotage, sabotage for our whole country. It is something that must be taken very seriously. That’s my personal view, but I think so,” he stressed.
The politician ruled out the involvement in the case of Tula region governor Alexei Dyumin, who he said is a “smart person”, and blamed law enforcement. So, “about 10 years ago,” Mironov recalls, the theme of “werewolves in uniform” was heard. According to the leader of the right-wing Russians, “they have not left”, so this question must be carefully considered. “I am absolutely convinced that the governor had nothing to do with this. But who is responsible for the law enforcement system there, very serious questions should arise 100% for them, ”he believes.
Moskalev case
Security forces became interested in Alexei Moskalev, a resident of the town of Efremov, Tula region, after his daughter in April 2022 drew a picture of anti-war content during a lesson of fine arts. The sixth-grade student was removed from class, after which FSB agents came to the school and had a conversation with her. The girl stopped going to school, and soon an administrative protocol was drawn up against her father to “discredit” the army and a fine of 32,000 rubles.
In December 2022, a criminal case was opened against Moskalev for “discrediting” Russian troops, while his daughter was taken to a social reintegration center (SRC). The day after the interrogation, the man took the girl from the shelter and left Efremov, but on March 1, 2023 he was detained in the Tula region, after which he was placed under house arrest. His daughter was again placed in the SRC and refused to be handed over to her father, even when the latter returned to the apartment himself.
On March 28, the Efremovskiy district court of the Tula region sentenced Aleksey Moskalev to two years in prison for “discrediting” the Russian army. The verdict was read in the absence of the accused, since he did not appear at the hearing. Court spokeswoman Olga Dyachuk said Moskalev escaped house arrest.
On March 30, a man was arrested in Minsk by local police at the request of Russian colleagues. Later, the Belarusian Interior Ministry announced that he had been handed over to Russia.
