He noted that Warsaw had already supplied Kiev with MiG-29 fighters.
“At the moment, negotiations are underway to supply other types of aircraft,” he said, speaking ahead of the upcoming meeting of Ukraine’s Allied Contact Group at the airbase. from Ramstein in Germany.
The Secretary General also announced the consent of all members of the alliance to accept Ukraine.
The day before, April 20, Stoltenberg visited Kiev. During his visit, he invited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to a NATO summit this summer in Vilnius. He promised that the issue of Ukraine’s membership in the alliance would be on the agenda of the summit.
