Colombia still has no intention of transferring arms to Ukraine. This was said by Colombian President Gustavo Petro after meeting with US President Joe Biden at the White House.
Petro was asked if the meeting discussed the US proposal to transfer Russian-made weapons from Colombia to Ukraine.
“They (the weapons indicated. – editor’s note) will not be sent to Ukraine, they will not be sent to Russia,” he said.
This is the position of the country’s current government, the president stressed. Petro said the weapons in question, including helicopters, were acquired by the previous president.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry warned South Korea against supplying arms to Kiev. The reason for this was the statement by the country’s President Yoon Seok Yel on the possibility of military supplies to Ukraine “in the event of a serious threat to the civilian population of the country”.
