On April 18, Hoseok Jung officially joined the rookie ranks. Even Jin, who was discharged from service on such an occasion, came to see him off. All BTS group members wanted to say goodbye to a friend and colleague. The guys took photos, hugged and even cried. Everyone touched J-Hope’s new short haircut and complimented the idol saying that the new hairstyle looks good on her.
On video guys chat and hug with rookie. Recall that the next 5 weeks, J-Hope will undergo special training in the province of Gangwon-do. After that, he will be assigned to another place for compulsory service. According to open sources, the idol is expected to return from the army in October 2024. The entire service will take 18 months.
Currently, Jung Hoseok has become the second BTS member who has gone to pay his military duty in his homeland. The oldest member of the team, Kim Seokjin, was the first to leave for the military. Jin has been on duty since December 2022 and is due to return next summer.
Which of BTS after Jin and J-Hope will join the military (and if they will go at all) is still unknown.
