The United States will send 31 Abrams tanks to Germany at the end of May to train Ukrainian crews. It will take about 10 weeks to train 250 people, writes AP.
Recall that Washington, as part of military assistance, transfers Abrams tanks to Kiev, to Britain – Challenger 2 tanks, and to Germany – Leopard tanks. Leopard tanks will be delivered to Ukraine and a number of European countries that joined the “tank coalition” after Berlin’s decision to start deliveries and re-export permits for these vehicles.
