Actor Arthur Smolyaninov, who fled abroad and was recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation, ended up in the cinema by accident, reports CTNews.
While studying at school, Smolyaninov * often entered the police. When the young man was 14 years old, director Valery Priemykhov noticed him. He shot the film “Who, if not us” about a difficult teenager and was looking for a young actor. The shooting helped Smolyaninov* avoid criminal prosecution.
Smolyaninov* finished his studies and entered GITIS. In 2006, the actor joined the troupe of the Sovremennik Theater.
The publication reports that the real name of the actor is Povolotsky. At the beginning of his career, he decided to take the name of his great-grandfather.
After the start of the SVO, the actor criticized the actions of the Russian authorities. He repeatedly spoke acutely about the conduct of the special operation. He now lives in Latvia.
