The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs urged Muslims to fast 6 days of Shawwal, explaining its virtue and status.
And she said, in a video via her Twitter account, this evening, the second Saturday of Shawwal, that fasting the 6th of Shawwal is one of the best-paid supererogatory fasting, adding: On the authority of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: Whoever fasts Ramadan, then follows it with six of Shawwal was like fasting forever"And that is because fasting it after Ramadan completes the reward for fasting the whole year, so the good deed is ten times more, so if the sum of Ramadan and the 6 of Shawwal is 36 days, then its fasting is like one who fasted 360 days, i.e. the whole year, and if this is repeated every year, it is like fasting a lifetime.
And she said: And because fasting the 6th of Shawwal is like the regular Sunnahs with regard to prayer, it completes whatever defect or deficiency may occur in the obligatory fast.
And she indicated that it is permissible to fast six consecutive or separate days of Shawwal during the whole month, and it is better for the servant to initiate making up for what he broke his fast from Ramadan and then follow it by fasting the 6th of Shawwal .. The Muslim who is keen on the reward does not deprive himself of the reward for fasting these blessed six.
