Corona Update: Countrywide infection rate recorded at 6.17 percent.|

New Delhi, April 22 (UNI) More than 12,000 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours and 32 people have died due to the infection in the country amid the increasing cases of corona virus epidemic. The infection rate across the country has been recorded at 6.17 percent. Meanwhile, corona vaccination is also going on in the country and in this sequence, 5,602 people have been vaccinated in the last 24 hours. So far 2,20,66,37,581 people have been vaccinated in the country.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Saturday, with the arrival of 1,386 active cases in the same period, their number has increased to 67,556. The total number of infected people in the country has increased to 4,48,81,877. At the same time, the number of dead has increased to 5,31,300. In the same period, the number of people recovering from corona infection has increased by 10,765 to reach 4,42,83,021.

During the last 24 hours in the country, the number of active cases in Delhi has increased the maximum by 376. Apart from this, 369 in Haryana, 289 in Chhattisgarh, 286 in Odisha, 219 in Rajasthan, 213 in Uttar Pradesh, 146 in West Bengal, 133 in Punjab, 93 in Karnataka, 58 in Himachal Pradesh, 53 in Bihar, 40 in Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu has reported 34 cases, Chandigarh 28, Telangana 12, Jharkhand 25, Madhya Pradesh 15, Mizoram 4, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Meghalaya and Nagaland one each. Apart from this, in the last 24 hours, eight people died in Delhi, five in Maharashtra, three each in Chhattisgarh, Kerala and Uttar Pradesh, two each in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu, one in Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, Punjab and Uttarakhand. One person died.
