Drag star Dame Edna has passed away – DV

Australian actor Barry Humphries, better known as drag star Dame Edna Everage, has died aged 89.

Humphries was born in Melbourne in 1934, married four times and had four children, as reported on the Guardian website. From an early age he enjoyed dressing up and acting, but Humphries’ acting career spanned seven decades, appearing in drama, film, television and book series. As Dame Edna, Humphries appeared on a number of television shows, including Saturday Night Live and Ally McBeal.
