In Chernyakhovsk, residents, as part of a subbotnik, for the first time in the district carried out a comprehensive cleaning of the banks of the Angrapa River. The cleaning took place within the framework of the federal project “Preservation of unique water bodies” of the national project “Ecology”.
Civil servants also took part in the action alongside the inhabitants of the region. Employees of the main directorate and the search and rescue team of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Kaliningrad region were involved in the work.
The total number of participants in the event exceeded 500 people. This was reported by the press service of the government of the Kaliningrad region.
Thanks to the well-coordinated work of the participants of the subbotnik, not only the banks, but also the bottom of the river were cleaned. Within hours, dozens of bags of trash were picked up, trees that had fallen into the water were removed, and trash that had accumulated over the years was removed from the bottom.
Earlier, The Eastern Herald in Kaliningrad reported that residents of Svetlogorsk were invited to a day of community work. The event to clear the streets of seasonal debris is scheduled for April 21.
