Minsk has approved an agreement with Russia on a common industrial policy. The corresponding resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Belarus was published on the official information portal of the republic.
The country’s Ministry of Industry has been appointed coordinator for the implementation of the provisions of the agreement.
The agreement between the governments was signed in Moscow on February 15. Its objective is to develop industrial production and scientific and technical cooperation, import substitution and to accelerate the processes of localization of production in the Union State.
It is expected that Russia and Belarus will expand project support mechanisms, lower barriers, stimulate the development of new types of competitive products and create conditions for the use of progressive financial products.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko discussed in Moscow the creation of a unified security concept for the two countries and a new phase in the joint development of the military-industrial complex of Russia and Belarus.
