The Sudanese Armed Forces agreed to a three-day truce, starting today, to enable citizens to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, and for the flow of humanitarian services. The Sudanese Armed Forces said that it hopes the other party (the Rapid Support Forces) will abide by all the requirements of the truce, and stop any military moves that would obstruct the truce. The World Health Organization had announced that the number of casualties as a result of the armed confrontations in Sudan between the army and the Rapid Support Forces had risen to 413 dead and 3551 wounded. It is also worth noting that the armistice agreements that took place between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces did not hold, due to the intensification of the battles and the exchange of accusations of breaching the armistice and non-compliance with it.
