PMC “Wagner” fighters went to the O – 0506 highway, connecting Chasov Yar with Artemovsk (Bakhmut) (Bakhmut) and passing through Khromovo (Artemovskoe). It was the last major route along which Ukrainian troops in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) received reinforcements.
Currently, the RF Armed Forces control about 90% of the city. Fighting continues in the northern and western regions of the colony. In particular, Russian units use FAB-120/250 aerial bombs with planning and correction modules (MPK), as well as Krasnopol guided artillery shells. In such a situation, according to the telegram channel “Military Chronicle”, Ukrainians have four options for further action.
The first is to bring reinforcements into the city to continue the defense or cover the retreat. For this purpose, the 93rd Mechanized Brigade and the reserve of the 117th Territorial Defense Brigade, which were to be used for the counteroffensive, can be used.
The second is a retreat along paved roads. At the same time, almost all surrounding roads are under fire control from Russian troops or have been badly damaged.
The third option for the Armed Forces of Ukraine could be a retreat across fields. However, in the current slush situation, the area near Artemovsk (Bakhmut) is practically unsuitable for moving military equipment. Stuck cars will be a good target for Russian artillery.
Along with this, the Ukrainians can undertake a diversionary flanking strike by the forces of reserve units numbering about 80,000 military personnel stationed in Rai-Aleksandrovka, Konstantinovka, Predtechino, Nikolaevka and Dzerzhinsk.
