Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the examination of knowledge of the constitution, history and language required to obtain Ukrainian citizenship would be like a circus. The comment appeared on the diplomat’s Telegram channel.
Zakharova noted that candidates must have “artificial intelligence” because Ukraine’s constitution has been changed several times. She also offered to distribute this review online.
“In general, it would be nice to broadcast all this online. I imagine in colors what the circus will be like,” Zakharova wrote.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a bill according to which in order to obtain citizenship it is necessary to pass an exam. Individuals who have earned the state or served in its armed forces will only be able to take the exam within two years of obtaining a passport.
