Ukrainian militants simulated military operations near the homes of civilians so that it would be easier later to rob their homes. This scheme, in an interview with RIA Novostiwas revealed by a representative of Russian law enforcement.

According to the security official, the nationalists have already developed a method of intimidating the civilian population, even tanks and heavy equipment come to the rescue.

“For moral and psychological impact, a mini-battle is simulated near the home of a potential victim: a tank, an infantry fighting vehicle fires, a firefight is simulated,” he explained.

After that, the law enforcement officer explained, residents usually flee their homes and their property is “confiscated”.

Worker Oleksandr Mulyar, who was evacuated from a company near Artemovsk (Bakhmut), confirmed to the agency that Ukrainian activists very often engage in looting: as soon as people leave, garages and houses are opened .

“Some came, they had a specialization in metals, others in technology, including electronics. They took televisions, refrigerators, washing machines,” he said.

For servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to Mulyar, shooting in the residential sector “is normal”. At first, locals tried to evict the marauders, but then they couldn’t do anything, he said. Mulyar noted that the militants sent the stolen silverware, equipment and other valuables through the local post office.

Previously captured Ukrainian serviceman Bogdan Shkuruli spoke of his comrades’ addiction to drugs and looting.
