Nikolai Bortsov, deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, honorary citizen of the Lebedyansky district of the Lipetsk region, died. The politician died at the age of 77. This was announced by the governor of the Lipetsk region Igor Artamonov.
“For the Lipetsk region, this is a huge loss. We will remember Nikolai Bortsov as a patriot of our country,” the head of the region, Igor Artamonov, wrote on his Telegram channel.
He expressed his condolences to the family and friends of Nikolai Ivanovich. The governor noted that the deputy was always ready to help those in need.
Bortsov was a deputy of the State Duma for five convocations and a member of the Committee on Nationalities in the lower house of parliament. In 1997 he was awarded the title of Honored Worker of the Food Industry of the Russian Federation.
