In Smolensk, “safety stencils” appeared near pedestrian crossings

Security stencils appeared in Smolensk. The inscriptions were made near the pedestrian crossings by traffic police officers together with a detachment of young traffic inspectors from school No. 26 named after AS Pushkin as part of the action pedestrian prevention. The press service of the traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Smolensk region noted that this event was intended to remind pedestrians of Smolensk about the rules of the road when crossing the roadway.

So, the following inscriptions appeared on the asphalt:

  • Take the child by the hand;
  • Take a break from the phone;
  • Remove the headphones;
  • At the crossing – on foot;
  • Get off the bike.

“The participants in the action hope that from now on pedestrians, at the sight of such “safety stencils”, will reflect on the importance of respecting the Highway Code”, underlined the press service of the department.
