Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Andriy Melnik said on his Twitter account that there is a need to increase military assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces tenfold.
“We are grateful to our allies for their military assistance. But it’s not enough. Ukraine needs ten times more,” the diplomat wrote.
Melnik asks allies to cross all red lines and allocate 1% of GDP to arms supply.
In turn, foreign policy columnist Jack Detsch notes that Ukrainian officials are concerned about the insufficient number of Leopard and Abrams tanks supplied by Western countries.
Earlier it became known that the amount of Western tanks and other weapons already available is not enough for a possible Ukrainian counter-offensive in the future, and the next deliveries are unlikely to arrive in time for the beginning of the military operation. This is reported by the New York Times newspaper, citing secret Pentagon documents that entered the network.
