Singer Svetlana Loboda refused to translate her songs into Ukrainian

fonstola.ru Russia

Singer Svetlana Loboda, who left Ukraine after the start of the Russian special operation in the country, expressed her opinion on the translation of her songs into Ukrainian.

The performer thinks it’s stupid and wrong, because many of her fans won’t be able to understand the words.

  • I have fans that I can’t betray, I can’t refuse everything I did earlier from my songs. I cannot translate them into Ukrainian. I think this is absolutely stupid and wrong, – Blitz quotes the words of Loboda in an interview.

In addition to her lyrics, she noted that her popularity extends not only to Ukraine, but also to other countries of the former USSR, where the Russian language is widely used and understood by many.

However, when giving interviews to Ukrainian media or being on Ukrainian territory, Loboda prefers to speak Ukrainian.

Earlier, singer Svetlana Loboda admitted that she thinks and dreams in Russian and considers herself its carrier. For this reason, she does not plan to translate her songs into Ukrainian.
