In the southern Turkish city of Adana, a man fired a shotgun at the office of the Justice and Development Party, led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Police have already arrested a 24-year-old suspect, TRT reports.
It should be noted that the attacker fired 14 times. There were no party office workers inside the building, as they had already been evacuated as a precaution due to earthquakes.
Remember that on May 14, presidential elections will take place in Türkiye. Erdogan’s main rival will be the leader of the Republican People’s Party, Kemal Kılıçdaroglu.
US Ambassador Jeffrey Flake recently met with him. After Erdogan said his doors were closed to the diplomat.
